The Skin Clinic Fremantle is a privately-owned boutique medical practice offering a comprehensive skin cancer service, including screening, and both surgical and non-surgical treatments.
At The Skin Clinic Fremantle we combine a specialist approach across both arms of our business, these being skin cancer detection, prevention and removal, plus our range of aesthetic and dermal therapies.
The two professions compliment each other perfectly as both are dedicated to achieving the best overall skin health in an easily accessible environment.
All our treatments on either side of our business are delivered with the highest standard of professionalism and we strive to achieve the best possible experience and outcomes for our patients. We believe that patient education is the key to successful outcomes.Dr Sarah Boxley
In October 2014 we opened our current clinic, in custom-designed rooms in a quiet street in central Fremantle. Since then, from one doctor and our practice manager, the business has expanded to include two more doctors, two surgical nurses, two dermal therapists and a number of receptionists. If you think you would be an asset to our team, please check out our current vacancies.
Dr Boxley is at the forefront of innovational techniques using dermal filler and neurotoxins. She is on the faculty of The Injectability Institute®, an international training academy based in California, and specialises in delivering a patented filler technique known as the ArqueDerma® Restorative Lift.
She is also on the faculty of the Allergan Medical Institute, delivering industry-leading training locally, nationally and internationally.
From our Doctors and Dermal Therapists to our Clinic Manager and Receptionists, all members of our team have a passionate understanding of what needs to be achieved to arrive at our ultimate goal of a happy and satisfied client.
We offer an easy “down to earth and honest” approach, which works well for us and is an attitude that has gained us a positive reputation for making our patients feel safe, listened to and relaxed within a professional clinic setting. We have received customer service awards from WhatClinic, and the majority of our new clients come to us through word-of-mouth, which we regard as a testament to our reputation. In our first year of business, we were the proud recipients of the Best Aesthetic Clinic Award for WA, South Australia and the Northern Territory. Our principal doctor has been named in the Global Top 100 Aesthetic Leaders in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
We offer initial consultations for all of our Dermal Therapy and Cosmetic Injectable treatments. The consultations involve a ‘discovery and education’ for both ourselves and our patients.
We are passionate about skin, its health and well being, and we strongly believe that ascertaining a comprehensive history of the patient and their skin is paramount to understanding not only their concerns and expectations but also the results that can realistically be achieved.
Without question, education is the key to a successful treatment outcome and we strive throughout our relationship with each patient to ensure they have a comprehensive understanding of their journey from their initial skin or aesthetic concern through their various treatment options towards the end result. We run education evenings both for patients regarding skin cancer, skin health, aesthetics and new treatments, and for local allied health practitioners regarding skin cancer awareness.
We like to think of our relationships with our patients and their skin as a ‘shared responsibility’, and we encourage them to value their skin health as an ongoing concern rather than searching for quick fixes.
We standardly insist upon a consultation appointment for all new cosmetic patients prior to a treatment appointment on a separate day, to facilitate a cooling-off period. We encourage patients to ask additional questions between appointments either by telephone or email if they wish. Our cosmetic doctor and dermal therapists will often see individual patients together in a multi-disciplinary session for treatment planning.
We don’t offer special deals on our medical or injectable procedures as this is against Medical Board regulations. For the same reason, we do not offer in-house payment plans for procedures or treatments.
We are mindful of our environment and of the ethical considerations of our patients. We research carefully all treatments offered and we only carry skin care products that are results driven and whose ingredients are both ethically and scientifically sound.
From day one we have been a business that aims to offer a range of realistically priced and effective treatments for all our patients. We believe it is important to stay informed in our constantly evolving medical field and to further educate ourselves as professionals. This way we can ultimately decide on what treatments and services best suit our business and our patients. We are constantly evolving and growing in a direction that we feel offers ‘the gold standard’ of great skin health.
