Brett originates from New Zealand and comes from a family of Medical Scientists and Nurses. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from Otago University in 1990, going on to gain broad experience from hospital work throughout New Zealand and Australia.
After gaining Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1996, Brett subsequently gained extensive experience in Family and Community Medicine. He has always had an interest in minor surgery, and as such he was drawn to the discipline of Skin Cancer Medicine.
In 2018 he obtained a Professional Diploma in Skin Cancer Surgery, and having undertaken extensive further postgraduate studies, Brett will graduate with a Masters of Medicine from the University of Queensland, specialising in Skin Cancer Medicine in November 2020 and plans to then go on to study for his Fellowship with The Skin Cancer College of Australasia.
In his spare time he likes cycling, fishing, and travel when circumstances permit.
Brett is available for skin checks, non-surgical treatment of skin cancers, and surgical options including flaps & grafts.
